The CORAL Project
The Collaboration, Outcomes, Resource, Anticipation Library was a web-based system developed to gather news without need for reporter involvement, effectively adding staff as reporters, minimizing time needed acquire information, better utilizing the skills of the Public Information personnel. Employees with email or messaging submit information to an electronic repository where a Division leader either approved or placed the submission on hold. If approved, the information was automatically forwarded to the Public Information department portal for technical writing correction, after which the information (article) would automatically post to the Division website, and archived for future purposes.
